3 Reasons Why You Can Earn Money Blogging As A Personal Trainer

When I first started in the fitness industry, I used old school methods to attract new clients to my personal training services.

THE HUSTLE
Go up and talk to as many people within the fitness area, build rapport, and hope they will buy personal training.

Most times “building rapport” meant giving away free personal training sessions.

There are a few problems with this scenario:

1) Talking to people while they are working out sucks. Its unpleasant for the trainer and the member.

2) The trainer is limited to the busy times to reach the most amount of people (between 5am-9am & 5pm-8pm)

3) The trainer is limited to their gym to reach prospective clients

4) It sucks giving away your time for free.

Now what if you were able to build rapport and create a lot of leads for your personal training business without doing “The Hustle?”

Would be pretty amazing right?

Well blogging is one tool you can use in order to attract prospective clients (even outside of your area) and make them into buyers before they walk into the gym doors.

How?

With blogging, you can…

#1 Communicate And Connect With Your Audience Without Personally Being There.

Your blog is up 24/7 which viewers can go to in order to look at the content their interested in. When you consistently share information that people are interested in, you will develop a following of readers that will start to know, like and trust you. Your blog can be the “go-to place” for people to get answers to their problems.

#2 Have An Online Billboard Representing You And Your Business

Just like having a billboard on a highway or your face painted to the side of a building, your blog is your permanent billboard online. For a blog post you write today, you can get leads tomorrow, 6 months or even 2 years from now. However, just like a billboard on an empty highway doesn’t make much sense, it is important to learn strategies on how to get proper placement of your blog in order to get viewers.

#3 Grow Your Business With Just One Blog Post A Day

By blogging on a consistent basis and using effective strategies to attract people to your blog (such as SEO, social media syndication and guest blogging), you will be amazed how much blogging can grow your business.

Results aren’t typical because we have learned how to blog and know effective strategies to drive traffic (eyeballs) to our sites. The process is not complicated, it just takes the right skills to become successful.

Summary:

Blogging and marketing online, especially the way that we have learned, not only is more effective than “The Hustle,” but once you get past the initial learning curve, you’ll be attracting a ton of people without doing much work.

As a traditional personal trainer, you’ll be hustling the rest of your life, but when you adopt the right skills, like blogging, you’ll never have to worry about money again.
